Practical Nurse

This versatile role combines nursing care, a rehabilitative approach, and a genuine presence in the lives of elderly people. Your Role You will work as a practical nurse in Group Home 2 at the Runosmäki Elderly Care Center, located in the Runosmäki district. The Runosmäki Elderly Care Center is a bright and beautiful home for the elderly, featuring functional facilities and high-quality services. The clients are elderly people with multiple illnesses who require assistance and guidance in daily activities. You will work from a client-centered perspective, supporting the client's functional capacity. As a practical nurse, your work includes basic and medication care according to the client's care plan, assessing functional capacity and care needs, and implementing cultural and hobby activities. You will also participate in the guidance of students. Residential services for the elderly provide 24-hour housing and care services. The goal of the operation is to maintain the client's functional capacity and resources. Client and occupational safety are of paramount importance, and the work utilizes technological solutions and ergonomic aids. In client-centered work, the client's right to self-determination and the right to an independent, high-quality end-of-life experience are respected. Daily cooperation with relatives is an important part of the job. The work is a 3-shift rotation. What We Expect From You We expect good Finnish language skills and motivation to develop as a nursing professional. We value broad expertise and experience, but practical nurses at the beginning of their careers are also welcome. We hope that you are self-directed and work naturally as part of a team. A LOVe medication permit, experience in elderly care, proficiency in Pegasos and RAI, and good IT skills are considered an advantage. Eligibility requirements include a vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or an earlier school-level degree in the field, as well as valid registration in the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
