Join us as a Development Teacher in the Tuusniemi–Kaavi regional collaboration project. The project covers approximately a 135-student lower comprehensive school in Kaavi and a ~200-student upper primary school in Tuusniemi. Kaavi lower grades students will transfer to Tuusniemi for grades 7–9. The aim is to explore stronger collaboration in basic education, streamline school day structures, and develop new teaching practices (e.g., simultaneous and remote teaching). The goal also includes mapping teachers’ competencies and training needs, leveraging existing resources, and increasing joint planning and training between Kaavi and Tuusniemi teachers. You will be able to tailor your role based on your strengths. Start date and duration are negotiable. The project runs 1.8.2026–31.7.2028. Salary expectations will be considered. Salary level reflects seeking a qualified and experienced teacher. The job requires presence at Kaavi and Tuusniemi schools, but remote work is possible for project administration tasks. Key responsibility areas include pedagogical development (designing cross-municipality teaching models and coordinating regional staff training) and project administration (procurement coordination, project communications, monitoring and reporting to funders). What we expect: basic teaching qualification for primary education; strong practical understanding of everyday basic education and school culture; ability to identify own strengths and shape a working role from them; good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
