Kantvik School is a Finnish-language primary school. For the 2026-2027 academic year, the school will have grades 1-6. Broad-based special education is provided by two special education teachers. Special education is also provided in the school's special classes. In the coming academic year, there will be approximately 250 students and 14 classroom teaching groups, two of which are special classes. Special class teachers work in the special classes. Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the municipal teaching staff's official and collective agreement (OVTES). A three-month probationary period is used when filling the position. The eligibility requirements for the special education teacher's position are determined in accordance with the Decree on the Eligibility Requirements for Teaching Staff (986/98). The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
