About the role

Hello general practitioner, come be part of the Solo team! We are seeking a general practitioner for Laakso Hospital from 17.8. to 31.8.2026. Work unit and duties The physician's workstation is at Laakso Hospital. Ward placement is determined by the client's needs. The majority of patients in the Helsinki hospital's inpatient wards are geriatric patients. The physician's duties include: - diagnosing, treating, and monitoring patient illnesses, and recording these in the patient information system - recording diagnoses according to ICD 10 - interpreting laboratory and X-ray results and applying them in treatment - planning and monitoring patient care and rehabilitation together with a multidisciplinary team - assessments and related statements made during patient care and rehabilitation - certificates of the patient's state of health, illness, and legal capacity - assessments of the implementation of follow-up care - discharge-related tasks such as checking medication lists, writing prescriptions and urgent statements, and final assessment - consultations with the patient's relatives and the requester - deciding on treatment guidelines together with the patient and/or their relatives/close ones, and in cooperation with the nursing staff - confirming death according to the City of Helsinki's instructions and writing burial permits during office hours - other possible patient-related tasks assigned by the chief physician, for which reasonable time has been allocated Requirements - Qualification as a general practitioner - At least one year of experience in ward work - Vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act - Good Finnish language skills Working hours and compensation Working hours are weekdays between 8:00 and 16:00. Total compensation is €65/h.
