Vocational Teacher

We are seeking a teacher of earthworks for a permanent position starting September 1, 2026, at the forestry and earthworks unit in Kullaa, Ulvila. The primary duties include tasks related to the teaching of earthworks, with responsibility for implementing both theoretical and practical instruction. Requirements for the applicant: - Education in the field (e.g., vocational qualification in earthworks, specialist vocational qualification, or an engineering degree) - Pedagogical qualification - Versatile work experience in the earthworks sector and skills in the use and maintenance of various earthmoving machinery, such as excavators - Valid occupational safety card (water work card is considered an advantage) Considered an advantage: - Expertise in site supervision - Knowledge of 3D machine control systems - Basic professional competence training in the transport sector - Category C driver's license The eligibility requirements for the teacher's position are determined by Decree 986/1998 on the eligibility of teaching staff. In the absence of eligibility, the position may be filled on a fixed-term basis for a maximum of one year. If only the pedagogical studies are missing and the person has already been accepted to study for said studies, they may be hired for a fixed term of 1-3 years. The pre-employment medical examination and drug test are performed during the probationary period after the position has started; the employee applies for the criminal record extract on their own initiative. The position belongs to the Forestry and Earthworks unit. The supervisor is the unit's training manager. The primary place of work is Sahalahdentie 57, Kullaa (Ulvila). Remuneration and terms of employment follow the collective agreement for teaching staff in the corporate sector of KT (OTES). The position has a probationary period of 6 months.
