The BioInterfaces group at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences uses molecular dynamics simulations to tackle questions related to biomembranes. The group is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to coordinate its research activity in the field of membrane proteins and scramblases. The project involves high-throughput simulations, protein design, and development of an online database. The candidate will coordinate daily work, supervise the doctoral researcher, perform simulations, prepare manuscripts, and present results at meetings. A PhD student will be hired to work exclusively on the project. Requirements include a PhD in physics, chemistry, biosciences or related field, preferably with molecular dynamics background (e.g., GROMACS) and programming knowledge (e.g., Python). Fluency in English is required. The position is for 2 years starting 2027. Salary around 4000 EUR/month. Tampere University offers benefits and an international environment.
