We are seeking a steel structure fitter / welder for a small metal industry company in the Turku region. The company performs steel structure work for the construction industry as well as work related to the renovation of steel structures. Work sites are diverse, emphasizing practical execution, varying locations, and high-quality craftsmanship. Work is carried out both at the company's premises and at customer sites in the Turku economic area, including both private and public sectors. As a steel structure fitter / welder, you will work with steel structure projects and renovation construction. The position is permanent, and daily work consists of diverse sites where you can apply your skills in practice. Your duties include, for example: * installation work for steel and iron structures * metalwork related to the renovation of steel structures * MIG and stick welding as part of daily work * working both at the premises and at customer sites in the Turku economic area * occasional travel work depending on the situation/preference This position is suitable for you if you can work independently, take responsibility for your own work, and move tasks forward without constant supervision. We are looking for a doer with practical skills and a professional work ethic. The most important thing in this role is that you can take on work independently and master the basics of welding and installation. We require from you: * previous experience in metalwork or vocational training in the field * basic skills in MIG and stick welding * ability to work independently and proactively * interest in steel structure work and renovation construction Considered an advantage: * previous experience in the installation of steel structures * experience with metal projects in the construction industry * willingness for occasional travel work Welding certifications are not required for this position.
