We are now seeking you for our Ylöjärvi production as a Kokoonpanon työnjohtaja to be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the assembly area, leading the team and achieving production goals. The role involves leading about 30 assembly personnel, ensuring that work proceeds as planned, safely, cost-effectively and with quality, and that planned milestones are met. You will be visibly present in daily production, lead your team by example and drive things forward in collaboration with the Production Manager, Production Planning, Design, Testing, Quality Assurance and Internal Logistics. In assembly we manufacture electro-mechanical devices and system assemblies of varying sizes. Production operates on several lines, and throughput times vary from fast sub-assemblies to multi-week bundles. This makes the role diverse and requires the ability to understand daily work as well as the progression of the overall project. Practically you will be responsible for daily line leadership and the supervision of your own team, monitoring production schedule adherence and supporting workload balancing with the Production Manager, allocating tasks and resources within your area, developing quality, efficiency, throughput and work methods in line with production targets, maintaining and approving work instructions, onboarding and developing competencies, participating in production meetings and active communication with stakeholders, supporting the introduction of new products to production and coordinating related activities. What we expect from you: prior experience in production or assembly manufacturing leadership and understanding of daily supervisor responsibilities and willingness to take responsibility for the team. An understanding of electro-mechanical assembly and the ability to relate design, product structures, production planning and practical manufacturing. Ability to make decisions, address deviations and tackle issues constructively when needed. A background in electrical or mechanical installation or an engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or production engineering or other suitable technical background. Ability to interpret technical documentation, familiarity with manufacturing execution systems and general IT skills are helpful. At Merus Power daily production operates mainly in Finnish, but English skills are needed when collaborating with other functions. We also value experience with Lean System ERP or other production control systems, the ability to improve production practices, onboarding and a calm, solution-oriented and systematic working style, plus good interpersonal skills and the ability to listen, guide and decide. The role is based at the Ylöjärvi site, working in one shift, mainly daytime with flexible hours. The position requires presence in production.
