As a Renewals Strategy Manager, you'll be a key strategic partner to GitLab's Renewal Management and Customer Success teams, turning complex data into clear decisions that improve how we retain and grow customers. You'll report to the Director of Customer Experience (CX) Strategy with a dotted line to the VP, Global Renewals, and own the renewal analytics and forecasting motions that give CX and Sales leaders confidence in the pipeline, clarity on churn and expansion drivers, and early warning on at-risk accounts. In your first year, you'll revamp and refine global renewal forecasting processes in Clari, lead the SFDC Renewals transformation initiative, build and maintain renewal health scoring models, and proactively surface actionable insights that drive measurable improvements in renewal performance and operational efficiency across our direct and channel motions. You'll work closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and IT to improve systems and automation, using tools like Salesforce, Clari, Glean, Claude, business intelligence platforms, SQL, and spreadsheets to support a data-driven, customer-first operating model. What You'll Do: Analyze renewal pipelines across direct and channel motions; Drive the renewal forecasting process; Develop renewal health scoring models; Translate churn attribution, expansion patterns, and renewal performance data into insights; Identify, design, and implement process improvements and automation; Partner with cross-functional teams to improve systems, data flows, and reporting; Create and deliver dashboards and presentations; Promote data-driven culture within Renewals. What You'll Bring: Extensive experience in renewals, customer success, revenue operations and strategy roles; experience with go-to-market SaaS teams; proficiency in renewal forecasting and analytics; Salesforce expertise; BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Snowflake; SQL experience; strong communication skills; ability to influence and build cross-functional relationships. About the team: GitLab's Customer Experience Strategy team collaborates with CX leadership and go-to-market partners to align strategy, data, and operations across regions. We aim to improve renewal insights and forecasting and to scale processes that support long-term customer value. Salary: The base salary range for this role’s listed level is $126,400 - $213,600 USD annually (US residents). In addition, bonuses and equity may apply.
