The role involves working in a laboratory environment that conducts a broad range of clinical chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, clinical physiology and clinical microbiology investigations. The laboratory serves hospital departments and clinics, as well as other units in the Varsinais-Suomi wellbeing region. The team includes 22 laboratory technicians, a ward secretary, a ward supervisor, an assistant ward supervisor and a hospital pharmacist. Duties include customer service, specimen collection and analysis in a modern, versatile instrument environment. The work includes shift work, with morning and evening shifts, also on weekends. The Salo hospital laboratory also includes the sampling point in Perniö, and laboratories in Kimitoön and Somero. We offer a permanent position in a varied laboratory setting where you can apply your expertise across a broad range of tests and develop your professional skills in a modern instrument environment. The job involves tasks from customer service and sample collection to analytics. We provide diverse training for our employees and you will have the opportunity to participate in internal and external trainings to develop your skills. We expect you to be eager to learn, proactive and flexible in handling different tasks. You have good cooperation and communication skills and a positive attitude to patient work and customer service. The position requires licensure under the Health Care Professionals Act 559/94. Proficiency in Finnish and adequate Swedish are required. A four-month probationary period applies.
