Purchasing Specialist

As a Specialist Purchasing (m/f/d), you will ensure a reliable supply of materials for our customer projects by proactively managing shortages, coordinating with suppliers, and mitigating supply risks. Working closely with Procurement, Logistics, and Project Teams, you will play a vital role in maintaining project continuity and operational excellence. Explore your tasks and responsibilities Manage material shortages proactively to ensure uninterrupted support of ongoing customer projects. Identify critical material requirements and potential supply risks at an early stage. Monitor delivery schedules, order confirmations, and follow up consistently on outstanding supplier commitments. Escalate delivery issues with suppliers and drive corrective actions to minimize delays. Prioritize and coordinate material requirements in close collaboration with project management, production planning, manufacturing, and logistics. Support procurement activities, including supplier quotations, order processing, and the identification of alternative sourcing options. Maintain accurate ERP data (proALPHA), prepare shortage and status reports, and proactively implement measures to prevent project delays. Show your expertise Completed commercial or technical vocational training or an equivalent qualification Several years of experience in material planning, materials management, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or project-driven environment Strong expertise in material shortage management, including demand planning, delivery tracking, supplier escalation, and operational procurement Proficient in ERP systems (ideally proALPHA) and Microsoft Excel for effective data management and reporting Very good German and English skills Contact: You want to be part of the Exentec team?
