About the role

A daycare assistant acts as a group or personal assistant in a daycare group with children in need of enhanced or special support. The assistant familiarizes themselves with the children's support needs, methods, and care procedures, and plans, implements, and evaluates activities together with the early childhood education teacher and the special education teacher. They work with the children in the group according to an agreed plan and enable the rest of the team to function with children requiring support. As a team member, they participate in cooperation with parents, special education teachers, and other expert bodies. We expect from you an understanding of diversity, an inclusive value base, a solution-oriented approach to work, and the ability to create a positive and encouraging learning environment for children in cooperation with the rest of the team.
