Journalist

We are looking for a fixed-term journalist for the Ilta-Sanomat feature editorial office. The job includes creating content for both the IS Extra subscription service and the free part of our site. The position requires strong journalistic experience and evidence of expertise in online paywall content. The fixed term begins on September 1, 2026 (or at an agreed time) and ends on June 30, 2027. It is important to be able to independently brainstorm interesting topics. The person we are looking for is a skilled writer who can produce insightful reports and in-depth personal interviews. You are a skilled communicator and are not afraid to ask difficult questions. Appearing on video is also a natural part of your work. You are always up to date with interesting topics and know which perspectives appeal to current and future subscribers. You can also react quickly to the day's topics. You are open-minded about story topics: you are excited by both entertainment world phenomena and hot social discussions. Good stress tolerance, ability to work independently and efficient time management are important: you can advance several different story projects simultaneously and are not deterred by unexpected changes.
