A different kind of job like no other – come work at Lapland’s airports! In the winter season, the airport buzzes with travelers from around the world and we help make their journey smooth and safe. As a loader, you will handle aircraft cargo unloading and loading and participate in various steps of the turnaround. Daily tasks may also include driving passenger stairs and operating other ground handling equipment. Important: ensure aircraft depart safely and on schedule in accordance with aviation regulations, even under pressure. You’ll need to be proactive and capable of working in all weather, maintain a relaxed work atmosphere, and join a community that supports each other. Training takes place in weeks 38 and 41; the basic course is unpaid (approx. 3 days), followed by on‑the‑job training. Opportunities exist to study further via apprenticeship with REDU, earning parts of the Maapalvelutehtävät program (35 credits). Work starts in October/November and continues to March 2027. Wage follows the aviation services collective agreement. Loader: starting at 2205.06 €/month plus TES‑based supplements (typical total 300–600 €/month depending on shifts).
