Housing services are aimed at the homeless, mental health or substance abuse rehabilitation patients, or others in need of similar services in the Vantaa-Kerava wellbeing area. We are now looking for a social guidance counselor for the Pähkinärinne housing unit. In the community housing unit, the client is guided, supported, and advised according to the client's own needs and the implementation plan made together, e.g., regarding the handling of financial matters, cleanliness, and life management. Central to the duties of a social guidance counselor is the guidance of the client in the management of everyday life and support in housing skills. In the position, you are responsible for the preparation and updating of the implementation plans of the clients assigned to you, and you assess the client's service needs in cooperation with the work team, the responsible social worker, etc. In your daily work, you support the clients' mental health and a substance-abuse-free everyday life. In addition, you intervene and resolve housing-related problems at an early stage, perform rent monitoring, and plan and implement resident activities. In client work, you consider and support clients in achieving their own goals. The work includes home visit work (in the unit). Experience working with substance abuse and mental health clients or homelessness work and Apotti skills are considered an advantage. The work may involve working in rapidly changing and occasionally difficult interaction situations, so good interaction skills are an advantage in the work. The Pähkinärinne housing unit is part of the supported housing for working-age people, which includes a total of five housing units in Vantaa. Substitution shifts may also be in these other units. There are two services in the housing unit: community housing apartments and temporary accommodation for two people. The team is multidisciplinary and includes social guidance counselors, instructors, and nurses. A total of 11 employees.
