Practical Nurse

Kerttuli Ward 4 is a home for 36 residents in a 24-hour service housing unit, where daily life is built on genuine presence and resident-centered care. Your Tasks Your work is based on the resident's care plan and includes basic and medication care, assessment of functional capacity and care needs, as well as the implementation of cultural and hobby activities. You support the resident's functional capacity and right to self-determination and collaborate daily with relatives. You utilize technological solutions and ergonomic aids in your work to ensure resident and occupational safety. As part of your work, you guide students and develop your own expertise as a nursing professional. The work is based on a 3-shift rotation. What We Expect From You You work with a customer-oriented approach, are self-directed, and are a team player. You have a desire to develop your own expertise, the ability to assess the resident's functional capacity and care needs, and a readiness to participate in the guidance of students. The position requires good oral and written Finnish language skills as well as medication permits or the willingness to complete them immediately upon appointment. Eligibility requirements include a vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or a previous school-level degree in the field, as well as valid registration in the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
