Telecommunications Specialist

We are looking for a telecommunications specialist to join our team. We are hiring a motivated team player for a permanent position who enjoys a responsible specialist role and wants to join an expert community to develop and grow. We provide society-critical telecommunications services nationwide, relying on our own backbone network. In addition to backbone network services, our services include firewalls, local area network solutions, load balancing and application publishing. In this role, you will plan, install and maintain our customers’ critical network environments. Together with other telecommunications specialists, you will also be responsible for building and developing our customers’ data networks. To succeed in the role, you need: - Several years of work experience and good skills in wired and wireless networks, firewalls and routing. - Knowledge of load balancing and related technologies. - Education suitable for the role, such as a telecommunications engineering qualification. - Skills in telecommunications planning, including network planning. - Good Finnish and English skills. - A category B driving licence. Further information: - Start: By agreement. - Location: Kuopio. - The selected candidate will undergo a basic security clearance and a drug test. Salary: The starting salary is €3,300–€4,400 per month, depending on skills and experience. You will be covered by the KT enterprise-sector collective agreement, which brings public-sector employment benefits, including: - Shorter regular working hours (36.25 hours per week), leaving more time for recovery and work-life balance. - Generous annual leave entitlement, accruing up to 38 weekdays per year.
