Sales Assistant

Salvation Army's iCare charity stores are located in Tampere at Koskikeskus (Hatanpään Valtatie 1) Opening hours: Mon-Fri 10-20, Sat 10-18, Sun 12-18 and in Epilä (Pispalan Valtatie 133) Opening hours: Mon-Fri 10-18, Sat 10-16. In spacious stores, second-hand treasures are sold from A to Z. Additionally, the Salvation Army has iCare stores nationwide. We are looking for an on-call Sales Assistant/Sorter for both stores. Duties include: Customer service and cashier work. Placing products on display. Sorting materials for sale, warehouse management and pricing. Taking care of the store space's coziness and a positive customer experience. Creating the store's social media together with the team. We would hope from you: Experience in maintaining a clothing store and interest in the clothing industry and circular economy. Knowledge of materials, brands and price levels. You are a sales professional, meaning you have experience in commercial work. You are positive and have a genuine desire to work in customer service. You are cooperative and have good interaction skills. You commit to the goals of the work and are capable of physical work. We value Second Hand expertise or interest in the field. About THE SALVATION ARMY The goal of the Salvation Army's work is to help people holistically. The work includes social aid, food aid, adult hobby activities, children's and youth clubs, camps, Sunday school and spiritual events. The Salvation Army has children's daycares and camp activities, a social service center, a nursing home for the elderly, housing services and iCare and flea market stores. Our charity work focuses on low-income families with children, lonely elderly people and youth at risk of marginalization in the home country. To support those in need at home, we organize the annual Christmas Kettle and Help People collections. We support the work of the international Salvation Army through child sponsorship and disaster collections.
