Responsible Instructor

NYT is looking for a part-time Responsible Instructor for the Yrityskylä (Enterprise Village) in Northern Ostrobothnia, Oulu. The role involves creating the best school day for students in a simulated learning environment where 6th graders simulate various professions and society, and 9th graders lead companies in teams on an experiential game arena. Key responsibilities include managing event day schedules and practical arrangements, guiding students, performing scripted roles, supporting interns, collaborating with teachers, and maintaining the learning environment including end-of-day cleaning. The ideal candidate has an inspiring attitude, enjoys public speaking and teamwork, and can react quickly to changing situations under pressure. Language requirements include the ability to read and guide students in Finnish and hold short conversations in English. A genuine desire to work with children and youth is essential, and previous experience in hobbies, volunteer work, or professional settings with youth is valued. This is a part-time, fixed-term position from September 9, 2026, to April 30, 2027, with 50–90 hours per month (approx. 2–4 shifts per week, excluding school holidays). Working hours are generally between 8:00 and 17:00, typically 3–8 hours per shift.
