We are seeking a substitute social worker for the Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia, with the initial placement in Social Services for the Elderly in Kruunupyy and Luoto. The substitution begins on 1.10.2026 or by agreement and ends on 30.9.2027. The duties of the social worker include assessing the service needs of residents in a multidisciplinary work environment and granting home-based services primarily for the elderly (+65). The role involves cooperation with the client, the client's relatives, and various collaborating parties. The social worker participates in the development of services for the elderly through multidisciplinary cooperation and networks. We value good listening, negotiation, and motivation skills, expertise in assessing service needs and functional capacity (RAI instrument), knowledge of social and healthcare service systems and legislation, stress tolerance, problem-solving skills, independent decision-making ability, and previous experience in service guidance. The position requires a driver's license and the possibility of using one's own car. Eligibility requirement: An appropriate higher education degree according to the Act on Social Care Professionals (817/2015, § 8). Good oral and satisfactory written skills in both national languages of the country. The selected candidate must have valid vaccination protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (1227/2016). Additionally, the selected candidate must present an extract from the criminal record as referred to in Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act. A probationary period will be applied.
