Responsibilities
- Drive quality practices in daily work including test automation, validation strategies, and engineering best practices
- Design, implement, and maintain automated API test suites using REST Assured and Java-based testing frameworks
- Take responsibility for quality assurance and reliability of backend services across new features and existing solutions
- Drive release processes and support release activities
- Monitor service health and performance using Grafana and Prometheus, proactively identifying issues
- Analyse logs and production behaviour in Splunk to troubleshoot incidents and support improvements
- Contribute to development activities (microservices) in a modern architecture integrating with AWS/GCP, databases and third-party providers
- Collaborate with backend and frontend developers and business experts to ensure robust, scalable, well-tested solutions
- Hybrid setup with three days per week in the office in Oulu
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and test automation with focus on backend
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, REST Assured or similar
- Git, CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins)
- Monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus
