The City of Vantaa is seeking an enthusiastic, positive, and sensitive Early Childhood Education Teacher for a group of 3–5 year olds at Aurinkokiven Day Care. This is a fixed-term position from August 31, 2026, to January 13, 2027, or as agreed. As a teacher, you are responsible for building the group's operational culture and learning environment, as well as planning, implementing, developing, and evaluating pedagogical activities in accordance with Vantaa's early childhood education and pre-primary education plan. The role emphasizes children's social and emotional skills, participation, and warm interaction with children and parents. The unit utilizes the ProVaka operating model to support children's social skills. The work environment is a community-oriented and professional team. You will have the opportunity to develop pedagogical activities and participate in the unit's management group. Support is provided by a broad-based special education teacher. Aurinkokiven Day Care is part of a larger service center that includes a comprehensive school, maternity and child health clinics, and arts schools. Requirements include a qualification as an early childhood education teacher and good written and oral skills in Finnish. The position is full-time with 38 hours and 15 minutes per week.
