Työnkuva Työnkuva: We are looking for a guide for the winter season in Ylläs’ stunning scenery. The position starts in December and runs until the end of March. Weekend work is included and shifts are planned on a three-week rota. The contract is fixed-term with Henkilöstöliiga. The guide’s work is varied, starting often with vehicle rental desk duties and equipment maintenance, followed by preparing day’s activities and trips. Workdays depend largely on programs booked by clients, so no two days are exactly the same. The role includes guiding various nature and activity programs, such as snowmobile, skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing trips. Work is done both independently and as part of a team. Working language is English. Requirements: first aid training; previous experience guiding in Lapland; excellent English; good physical condition and ability to work outdoors in winter conditions. We seek a proactive, responsible candidate with good customer service skills and ability to get along with diverse people. Bonus: fluent French and German; ranger-guide training. We offer the chance to spend a winter season in Lapland’s stunning scenery and work in varied guiding tasks among international travelers.
