We are looking for part-time responsible instructors for NYT Business Villages in the capital region to make the world's best school day a reality! Business Village Primary School is a learning environment where sixth graders from all over Finland simulate various professions and the functioning of society on a small scale. Up to 100 students can be in our learning environment at most. In Business Village Upper Secondary School, ninth graders lead companies as teams on an experiential game arena. A maximum of 30 students can play in the upper secondary school game situation. In the capital region, some of our Business Villages operate in Finnish and Swedish. We expect all responsible instructors to speak fluent Finnish. Some of the selected employees will guide in Finnish and Swedish operations. Please mention in your application if you can use both languages as your working languages. Your duties in the Business Village include: - Guiding students: you can encourage and motivate students or calm a student group if necessary. - Hosting event days and taking care of practical arrangements: you enjoy performing or want to become a better performer. You react quickly and solution-orientedly in changing situations. - Acting in narrative roles: you throw yourself into the game, guide while acting in a role, and get the students excited! - Supporting and guiding visiting instructors: you are happy to help others and share your own expertise. - Cooperation with teachers: you understand that teachers are important to us and meet them in a friendly and helpful manner. - Taking care of the learning environment: you want to ensure that our learning environment is tidy and things are found in the agreed places even after a busy day of activity. We hope the applicant has a genuine desire to work with children and youth. We value previous experience working with children and youth in hobby activities, volunteer work, or professional life. As a new responsible instructor, you will receive comprehensive and high-quality orientation for your work. Employment and workplaces: The employment is part-time and fixed-term. Depending on the home village, the employment starts in August/September and ends in May/June 2027. During the school year, you will work according to the number of hours agreed upon in the contract. Your working hours are generally 7 hours between 8 am and 3 pm. You can influence your number of hours during the school year, but we hope that you can work about two days a week. The job is also very suitable for job seekers in different life situations. There are three Business Villages in the capital region: Helsinki Kaisaniemi (Business Village Upper Secondary School), Helsinki Viikki (Business Village Primary School), and Espoo Nihtisilta (Business Village Primary and Upper Secondary School). In the capital region, a contract is made for the entire capital region for responsible instructors, so shifts may be at all three villages. However, each responsible instructor has a home village where there are the most shifts. Salary is €12.92/hour. Apply to be a responsible instructor by August 16, 2026.
