The Eastern Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County is seeking a Lead Controller for a permanent position starting September 1, 2026, or by agreement. We are looking for a service-oriented and analytical Lead Controller for a permanent position within the Group and Strategy Services of the Eastern Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County. Initially, the position is located in the Financial Services unit under the Finance Manager. As a Lead Controller, you will independently provide financial support services to top management based on your extensive experience and insight, acting as a financial partner to management and supporting development work. Your work will support decision-making, service development, and the improvement of cost-efficiency. Key tasks include budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and various cost analyses to support decision-making and operational development—for example, as a basis for pricing products and services, comparing in-house production to outsourced services, and supporting tendering and contract management. Your role includes accounting and reporting tasks covering the entire organization. The position emphasizes an understanding of the cost structures of social and health care as well as rescue services, and the ability to delve into statistical data. In your role, you will provide management with insights on how service operation costs can be managed and reduced through data-driven management. As Lead Controller, you will participate in defining operational and strategic metrics and data production, participate in management team work, support the management of social and health services and rescue services in development work, strategic choices, and the mapping of opportunities and risks based on financial and operational analyses. The role also includes substituting for the supervisor when necessary. You will succeed in this role if you are curious by nature, open to development, and enthusiastic about phenomena and numbers. Eligibility requirements include a suitable higher education degree in finance (KTM, DI, Bachelor of Business Administration). Additionally, we require 5 years of experience in similar roles, demanding internal accounting tasks, or similar demanding analytical expert roles in financial management. Language requirements are excellent oral and written skills in one domestic language and good oral skills in another domestic language. Proficiency in financial tools (Ms Excel, Power BI) is considered an advantage. Terms of employment are determined according to HYVTES. The weekly working time is 36 h 15 min, and the work is day work. Workspaces are located in Porvoo, but there are flexible remote work options. The position-specific salary is 4,663.75 euros/month.
