Education Services is seeking for an employment contract starting 01.09.2026 SCHOOL ASSISTANT for Mäntysalo School The working hours for the school assistant are 25 hours per week. The duty of the school assistant is to assist students in need to manage daily school situations in cooperation with other staff. We are looking for a person with interaction and interpersonal skills, collaboration and organizational abilities, initiative, a good sense of humor, and the ability to work in rapidly changing situations. The work requires constant presence and commitment. Eligibility requirements include a vocational qualification in school and morning/afternoon activity guidance (formerly vocational qualification for school assistants) or an equivalent vocational qualification, e.g., childcare worker, practical nurse, or youth instructor. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). The employment relationship includes a six (6) month probationary period. Salary and terms of service are determined according to the municipal general civil servants' and employees' collective agreement (KVTES) and the Municipality of Nurmijärvi's job demand assessment. The position-specific salary is 2363.39 euros per month based on full-time general education. Additionally, experience-based pay may be paid based on previous work experience. The KVTES experience supplement is 3% or 8% of the position-specific salary, depending on relevant experience. Interested?
