About the role

We are seeking an EDUCATIONAL INSTRUCTOR to work with children and youth to reduce violence and severe bullying. The work focuses particularly on Swedish-language schools, educational institutions, and child welfare services in the Uusimaa region. **Responsibilities** Your duties include long-term individual, pair, and small-group guidance for children and youth to reduce violence, as well as short-term interventions for school classes to reduce bullying in accordance with NFG's educational methods. Guidance is based on goal-oriented and impactful work that influences youth's worldview, self-image, and perception of people, and thereby their behavior. The goal is to reduce violence and severe bullying and to strengthen the well-being, responsibility, and safe daily lives of children and youth. The work is mobile and takes place mainly in schools and educational institutions across Uusimaa. You will work closely with professionals from schools, educational institutions, and wellbeing services counties. Additionally, you will participate in the planning, evaluation, reporting, and development of operations. **Requirements** - a suitable university or higher education degree (e.g., in education, social work, or another applicable field) - experience in goal-oriented youth guidance - excellent proficiency in Swedish and Finnish, both spoken and written (other language skills are considered an advantage) - ability to meet children and youth with respect - skill in providing goal-oriented guidance to both individuals and groups - a proactive, responsible, and independent approach to work - good cooperation and interaction skills, as well as readiness to act flexibly in changing situations - ability to plan, schedule, and develop your own work **We also value** - interest in the prevention of youth violence, bullying, and marginalization - ability to apply research data and educational methods in practical guidance work **We offer** significant and socially impactful work to promote the well-being of children and youth. In your work, you will have the opportunity to develop your own expertise in the field of special youth education and participate in the continuous development of our operations. **Employment terms** Our office is located in Pasila, Helsinki. The work requires travel across several wellbeing services counties in Uusimaa, so a valid B-class driver's license is practically essential. Access to a private car is an advantage. The position is a full-time day job with flexible working hours. Some written tasks can be performed remotely. If desired, working hours can be agreed at 30 hours per week. The employment contract is fixed-term until January 31, 2027. The employment will be extended in 2027 if funding for the operations is granted. Work begins in September 2026 or as agreed.
