Human Resources Planning Intern (part-time)

Koiviston Auto Helsinki Oy is looking for a personnel planning intern to join its team. This is a part-time role, allowing flexible hours to accommodate studies. The position offers exposure to workforce planning and resource management within Finland’s largest bus transportation group, giving insight into daily planning and production in public transit. As a personnel planning intern, you will participate in daily driver resource planning and management, assist with changes to shift schedules, and support staffing arrangements such as absences, trainings, and other resource adjustments. Shift planners are responsible for creating schedules, but you will be a key support in daily resourcing and staffing arrangements. You will work as part of the planning and production unit responsible for around a thousand drivers’ shift planning and daily production. You will closely cooperate with the traffic operations management, shift planners, team leaders, and the training manager, and you will have the opportunity to learn about traffic operations and assist as appropriate. The work is done Monday–Friday with flexible hours. We offer roughly 20% of the working time as a base. Your tasks include changes after published shift lists and staffing arrangements; supporting daily driver resourcing in collaboration with traffic operations and shift planning; preparing resource solutions for absences, trainings, and other personnel changes; compiling and developing various analyses and reports; participating in developing planning methods, reporting, and tools; and assisting traffic operations management. We expect you to have at least one year of university studies in a relevant field (e.g., transport, logistics, production economics, business, HR or similar). You should have strong organisational, communication and collaboration skills; an analytical mindset and interest in leveraging data; good IT skills and ability to utilise AI and analytics tools to improve work efficiency, analysis and development; enthusiasm for working in a multicultural team; and fluency in Finnish and English.
