Job Description

We are seeking a project manager for the Polkuja elämystalouteen project within the RDI and business unit, from August 3, 2026, to March 31, 2027, as the current project manager transitions to new roles within our organization. The position is based at our Tampere office. In your role you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and communicating the project content in collaboration with Humak experts, leading and convening the project team. The project manager also handles project administration and reporting to the funder, coordinates the overall project, and acts as the convener and secretary of the steering group. The role involves extensive collaboration with the broader network of stakeholders, in which the project manager plays a visible role. The project aims to facilitate access to the creative economy workforce for entry-level positions in event and tourism sectors, and to develop models and training programs to engage young people facing challenging labor market conditions. The project emphasizes knowledge of event and experience production, networks, and skills in guiding youth. We expect expertise in experience production, working with youth, project work experience, and a results-oriented approach. Since the project is implemented in collaboration with Tampere University of Applied Sciences, the project manager is also responsible for the overall operation of the project, requiring planning skills and the ability to manage a broad project portfolio. Communication skills are essential for the implementation. We value a positive, solution-oriented attitude, independence, and the ability to work effectively in changing situations with diverse people. Language skills and experience working with youth from different cultural backgrounds are advantageous. Employment terms and salary follow the Collective Agreement of Sivista Universities of Applied Sciences, with a 3.5-month probation period. The position requires a higher education degree and sufficient work experience. The employment begins on August 3, 2026. The work is primarily located in Pirkanmaa, with occasional evening or weekend work. Our work culture is based on openness, equality, and mutual trust. We have built a community-oriented workplace recognized in the 2024 quality audit for its encouraging and participatory culture. We support innovation and interaction among staff and encourage bold experimentation. Our community includes 170 experts, and as a Humak employee, you will have colleagues across Finland and a broad professional network. Our RDI activities are extensive, and there are several projects related to the content of the Polkuja elämystalouteen project, providing collegial support. We prioritize employee well-being and development. Our benefits include comprehensive occupational health services, sports and cultural benefits, and a lunch benefit.
