The South Savo wellbeing services county Eloisa is seeking an instructor for a permanent position at the Oravi service home in Mikkeli, starting August 10, 2026, or by agreement. Interviews for the position will begin during the application period. Oravi Service Home provides 24-hour intensive service housing for people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and those requiring special support. Oravi service home is a home for 15 adults, where their rehabilitation, self-determination, management of their own lives, and well-being are supported individually. Instructors support and assist clients in the service home, during leisure time, and when necessary in various day activity environments. The work is three-shift work and includes medication administration. We offer opportunities to develop the skills required for the job (e.g., communication methods, AVEKKI operating model, autism expertise, guidance and nursing methods). Eligibility requirements include a suitable vocational qualification in the social and health care sector or a previous vocational qualification from the school level in the field, as well as registration in the professional register of the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira). In addition, sufficient oral and written proficiency in Finnish is required for the performance of the duties. Experience in the care and guidance of people requiring special support is considered an advantage. We value teamwork skills, initiative, and a positive attitude toward development. The position requires vaccination protection as stipulated in Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a health certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. A person working with disabled people must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work in employment relationships exceeding 3 months (Supervision Act 741/2023 Section 28).
