We are seeking a permanent Cadastre Engineer to start on 1 September 2026 or by agreement. We offer a diverse and responsible expert role that combines surveying services development, supervisory duties, and a central role in municipal development. In the property and surveying services, you will partly be responsible for managing and developing the municipality’s land assets, including acquisition of raw land, allotments, land formation and registration entries, maintaining the base map for zoning, and official and other statutory field surveys. You will work in a close and capable team of about six specialists that values collaboration, expertise, and development-mindedness. As a Cadaster Engineer, you will help shape building control surveys and land formation calculations, maintain map data and registers, and represent the municipality in regional surveying projects, influencing broader regional development. You will act as supervisor to surveyors and drive the surveying services forward with determination. You will develop operations and implement new solutions in practice. The role requires close cooperation with Tampere region municipalities and other stakeholders, offering a broad expert network. In the future, the role will expand to include work on 3D city models. The job is mainly office-based with some fieldwork. You will work with modern tools such as 3Dwin, Lupapiste/KuntaNet, Yt-CAD/AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Tweb, and use Topcon and Trimble instruments in field surveys. Prior experience with these systems is a plus, but a willingness to learn and grow is most important. Success comes from good collaboration, a proactive networking attitude, responsibility, thoroughness and customer-oriented approach; ability to work independently as required. Previous experience as a Cadastre Engineer, municipal environment, or supervisory work is advantageous but not essential. The role suits both early-career and seasoned professionals. We prize a willingness to learn, to utilise technology, and to contribute to improving surveying services. We offer a training-friendly environment for professional growth. The role can be flexibly adjusted to your skills and experience. A thorough orientation will ensure you start smoothly and can work independently.
