Wärtsilä is now looking for a Strategic Purchaser for its Sourcing team! **Job Description** As a Strategic Purchaser, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining your own supplier portfolio. In this role, you will ensure that the suppliers under your responsibility can meet Wärtsilä's business needs in terms of capacity, cost level, and delivery reliability. You will work in close cooperation with Category Managers, the Product team, and other key stakeholders. Your work combines strategic procurement, long-term supplier cooperation, and commercial negotiations. You will be responsible for developing supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance and market situations, and participating in product development together with experts from various functions. At the same time, you will influence the maintenance of Wärtsilä's delivery capability and competitiveness in the future. **Your duties include:** - Being responsible for developing the performance, capacity, and cost level of your own supplier portfolio - Negotiating supplier contracts and maintaining supplier and contract information - Ensuring supplier capacity and supporting demand forecasting together with stakeholders - Analyzing supplier data and identifying development and risk areas to support decision-making - Participating in supplier-specific capacity and order planning - Building and maintaining long-term collaborative relationships with suppliers and visiting suppliers in Finland and abroad **What kind of expert are we looking for?** We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who enjoys long-term supplier cooperation and independent responsibility. You make decisions analytically, build confidential collaborative relationships, and drive matters forward determinedly.
