Administrative Chief Physician

HUS Brain Center is seeking an experienced and development-oriented Administrative Chief Physician for a permanent position. The role offers an excellent opportunity to lead and develop a specialized healthcare entity within Finland's leading center of expertise for psychiatry and neurology. The HUS Brain Center's result area includes specialized services for psychiatry and neurology, as well as the pain management unit. Approximately 3,300 healthcare professionals work within the result area in the Uusimaa region. We are looking for an Administrative Chief Physician for the result area's management team. In this role, you will participate in the preparation of the result area's strategy, be responsible for the progress of strategic projects, and support the development work of units together with the leading nurse and development partner. You will collaborate with administrative chief physicians from other result areas on cross-area matters. You will be responsible for the management of the result area's contracts. Additionally, you will participate as a representative of the result area in the physicians' salary group and serve as a deputy for the result area director when necessary. Success in the position requires experience in project management and supervisory work. Eligibility Requirements Specialist qualification in a suitable specialty and experience in administrative or leadership positions in the field, as well as being a licensed physician or having a permit to practice as a physician. Suitable specialties include psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurology, and neurosurgery. A Doctor of Medicine degree is considered an advantage. Language requirements: good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Swedish, or good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Finnish. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare operational units.
