If you’re interested in future opportunities in electrical or automation system design, we invite you to send us an open application! 🌍 About The Team Our Electrical & Automation Design department covers a wide scope of systems, such as: Power distribution (low voltage, propulsion) Lighting systems Navigation and external communications Internal communication and camera systems Security and entertainment systems The team currently consists of ~20 specialists, and we collaborate closely with all other design, production, and commissioning units across the shipyard. We handle projects from basic to detail design, and support everything from supplier selection to factory testing and commissioning. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary design organization of ~120 people, and a wider shipyard community of ~400 professionals. 💼 What Could Your Role Include? Depending on your background and interests, you might work with: Low Voltage distribution systems (e.g. transformers, converters, distribution boards) System responsibility for lighting, cameras, navigation, or comms Creating design documentation: layouts, wiring diagrams, component specs Participating in supplier selection and tender preparation Supporting testing and commissioning Managing system data in ERM and other databases The role and scope will be tailored based on your experience and interests. 👤 Who Are We Looking For? We’re open to applications from experienced electrical designers as well as early-career professionals with strong motivation. Ideally, you: Have a basic understanding of IP Networking and design of IP networks. Designing IP based systems in shipbuilding projects and marine industry experience will be considered beneficial. Examples of the systems: Wi-Fi, IPTV, Automatic telephone system, Cisco UCM or equivalent, General data network, Talk-back telephone system etc. Know your way around tools like AutoCAD and MS Visio Are familiar with classification rules and technical documentation Are comfortable working independently and collaboratively Communicate well in English (written and spoken) Shipbuilding experience is appreciated — but a learning mindset and proactive approach are even more valuable. ⚓ What Do We Offer?
