About the role

We are looking for maintenance technicians for the food industry! Are you an experienced maintenance technician with at least 5 years of practical experience in equipment maintenance within the food industry, capable of operating independently in a production environment without constant guidance? We are seeking qualified maintenance technicians for permanent, full-time positions in the food industry for our client. Workdays start from the Vantaa office, from where you will travel to customer sites in the Uusimaa region. This is day work starting in the autumn. Urgent and project work may occur on weekends. The employment contract is signed as a permanent position with Henkilöstöliiga. Job Description The role combines mechanical maintenance with electrical and automation troubleshooting. The work is independent and responsible, emphasizing the ability to locate equipment malfunctions, perform repairs safely, and return production equipment to service as efficiently as possible. It is essential to be able to operate in the hygiene and production environments required by the food industry. Your duties include, among other things: - maintenance and repair of production equipment - troubleshooting electrical and automation faults using measuring instruments - troubleshooting related to sensors, actuators, and controls - maintenance of conveyors, pumps, valves, and bearings - testing equipment and safe handover back to production - preventive maintenance and documentation The core of the work is the independent resolution of production disruptions. You will not perform a single narrow work step, but will be holistically responsible for production maintenance situations. The work combines mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, measurement, adjustment, testing, and the safe return of the device to production. You will determine the cause of the fault, isolate the problem, repair the fault safely, and ensure that the device can be returned to production without compromising hygiene, quality, or occupational safety. The position is suitable for a person who can take responsibility for the operational condition of the equipment from troubleshooting to repair and handover to production. Requirements You must have at least 5 years of practical work experience in mechanical industrial maintenance, a significant part of which is in the food industry, and the ability to perform independent troubleshooting using measuring instruments. We expect experience in pneumatics and hydraulics, as well as PLC/HMI troubleshooting. You can read electrical diagrams and understand the practical application of electrical and automation technology from a maintenance perspective. You can adhere to the hygiene requirements of the food industry. Additionally, we require: - education in electrical and automation / machine fitting / maintenance - electrical work safety card or SFS 6002 training - occupational safety and hot work cards, as well as a hygiene passport - fluent Finnish language skills Electrical qualification S2 is considered an advantage. Not all cards need to be ready at the application stage, but experience and expertise in maintenance play a decisive role in this position. The salary level specifically considers food industry maintenance experience, electrical/automation expertise, and the ability for independent troubleshooting.
