Fundraising Specialist (maternity cover)

MSF claims the world’s largest independent medical humanitarian organisation. We are seeking a Fundraising Specialist (maternity cover) to join our Helsinki office from November 2026 for about eleven months. You will oversee the full spectrum of testamentary giving and donor relations, from identifying potential testamentary donors to their long-term engagement, and you will participate in stewarding major donors and maintaining relationships. You will work closely with fundraising, communications, finance, and external partners. Responsibilities include designing and executing testamentary fundraising campaigns across channels, developing marketing for testamentary giving, maintaining ongoing engagement with interested donors, assisting with testamentary donations administration with finance and legal professionals, contributing to yearly fundraising plans and budgets. Requirements include relevant education or equivalent experience, experience in charity fundraising or donor development, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, analytical and goal-oriented approach, understanding of legal/ethical requirements in fundraising (especially testamentary gifts), fluent Finnish and English (spoken and written), commitment to MSF values and humanitarian work, and active participation in a positive work culture. We value prior testamentary or major-gift experience and CRM usage; Swedish language proficiency is an advantage. Employment type is temporary (Nov 2026–Nov 2027).
