The work is paid under the Private Social Services Sector collective agreement and is suitable for full-time, part-time, occasional or gig work. As a Personal Assistant you decide how much and when you work, so it can fit around other job or studies. No special training is required for the assistant role; the right attitude and reliability are the most important qualities. You will receive continuous support and guidance from your own coordinator, and you will never be left to handle questions alone. The Personal Assistant role involves helping clients with everyday tasks at home and outside the home, such as assisting with shopping, outdoor activities, meals, cooking, dressing, hobbies, and household chores. The job is suitable for people who are reliable, positive, helpful and people-oriented. Previous experience or training in care can be beneficial for some clients, but is not required. Work shifts run during weekdays and weekends, typically from morning to evening, and you can influence how much you work and with which clients. You will meet potential clients before a relationship starts, and if something isn’t working, you can discuss alternatives. You can work for as many clients as you wish.
