Become an Assistant Chief Physician at the Porvoo Mood Disorder Clinic! Do you want to work in a role where you can influence both individual patients' lives and the development of the entire operation? As an Assistant Chief Physician in Porvoo psychiatry, you will be able to combine clinical work, multidisciplinary collaboration, and management in a way that genuinely impacts the quality of care. We are seeking an Assistant Chief Physician for a permanent position within the East and Central Uusimaa psychiatry line at the Porvoo psychiatry ward. Start date September 1, 2026, or by agreement. The East and Central Uusimaa psychiatry line is responsible for the specialized psychiatric care of the population in the East Uusimaa and Keusote regions. You will work as part of a professional and development-oriented organization that emphasizes high-quality care and the development of staff expertise. As Assistant Chief Physician, you will play a key role in managing and developing the outpatient clinic operations together with the Chief Physician of the ward. Your duties include clinical patient work, supervising specializing physicians and medical students, leading a multidisciplinary team, and developing the clinic's treatment processes. You will work closely with Porvoo psychiatry's enhanced outpatient care and other outpatient units. Additionally, you will network with the Hyvinkää and Järvenpää clinics. You will be able to develop your management skills with secure support and participate in training and supervision. Eligibility Requirements Specialist qualification in a suitable field (psychiatry) and additionally a licensed physician or permit to act in physician duties (those in the final stage of specialization may also be considered for substitutions). We hope for experience in independent work within psychiatry, interest in developing outpatient care, good collaboration and interaction skills, and readiness to act as a leader of a multidisciplinary team. We value a flexible approach and a positive attitude toward development. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow in a supervisory role. Language requirements: good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Swedish, or good oral and written skills in Swedish and satisfactory oral and written skills in Finnish. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health status report on pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units. Remuneration Position-specific salary is determined according to LS, with possible experience and other supplements added. Probationary period is 6 months.
