About the role
Senior Counsel – International Trade (Americas) to join our Legal Team. Location: Calvert, AL with hybrid remote in Atlanta or Houston; travel to Calvert and San Luis Potosi as needed. Responsibilities include advising on US, Canadian and Mexican trade, USMCA, FTZ, export controls, sanctions, and cross-functional collaboration. Salary range: 121,800-167,400. Responsibilities
- Advise on USMCA compliance
- Oversee classification of goods under HTSUS
- Manage customs audits and inquiries
- Coordinate with customs brokers
- Advise on import/export requirements in Canada and Mexico
- Support FTZ operations
- Monitor export control laws and sanctions
- Collaborate across procurement, supply chain, finance, and operations
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- 7+ years of experience in international trade law
- Strong knowledge of U.S. trade laws and familiarity with Canadian and Mexican trade regimes
