We are looking for a **Lead BMS & PDU Engineer** to take overall responsibility for the development of the Battery Management System (BMS) and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) for our BESS platform (Battery Energy Storage System). The role combines electronics design, embedded systems software development, software interfaces, and system integration. BMS and PDU are central components of the energy storage system, directly related to battery safety, protection, diagnostics, data quality, system control, and long-term maintainability. What you will do - Be responsible for the technical development of BMS and PDU solutions in battery energy storage systems (BESS). - Design PCB-level electronics for battery management, protection, and power distribution needs. - Develop embedded software for monitoring, diagnostics, control, and safety-critical functions. - Define and implement software interfaces between BMS/PDU systems and the rest of the BESS control system. - Participate in system integration, testing, validation, and ensuring production readiness. - Work closely with experts in electrical, software, mechanical, and system design. - Support productization, supplier collaboration, and the long-term development of the platform. What we expect from you - A relevant university degree in electrical engineering, electronics, embedded systems, automation, or a similar field. - Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design, embedded software development, or industrial electronics. - Understanding of battery systems, BMS and PDU solutions, protection, or measurement systems. - Experience with data transfer interfaces, diagnostics, testing, and system integration. - A practical and solution-oriented approach suitable for a growth company environment. - Ability to take overall responsibility for a technical area from concept to finished product. - Fluent skills in Finnish and English.
