About the role

We are currently seeking a permanent Fire Engineer to join our professional team. As a Fire Engineer, you will perform diverse accident prevention work. As the unit manager, you will be responsible for the operations of the rescue department's supervision and chemical supervision. Key tasks include the planning of supervision, supervision of large public events, expert tasks related to the guidance of construction planning, and fire investigation. Additionally, your role includes supervision tasks for diverse sites, safety communication, and providing guidance and advice to customers. You will work in close cooperation with various authorities and other stakeholders. Eligibility requirements include at least a relevant higher education degree and a class B driver's license. A Master's degree from a university of applied sciences may also be an advantage. You have several years of strong experience in accident prevention or rescue service tasks. Successful performance of the duties requires diverse basic IT skills, the ability to manage overall processes, and the ability to work independently and make decisions regarding your tasks. We also value commitment to the employer's values and operating models, as well as good employee and community skills. Initiative and good presentation, communication, and interaction skills are important attributes in daily work. Previous expertise of the selected person may be taken into account in the detailed job description. The terms of the technical agreement apply to the employment relationship, and the working hours are office hours (36.25 h/week). The position is located within the accident prevention result area of the rescue services. We offer a close-knit and positive working community. The person selected for the position must present an acceptable medical certificate regarding their health status. Before assuming the position, you must present a valid driver's license. You must also consent to a security clearance and a drug test in accordance with the Security Clearances Act (726/2014), and an unobstructive response is a prerequisite for the employment relationship. Our working language is Finnish, so we expect fluent oral and written Finnish language skills, at least level B1.
