As a public health nurse, you will support families during significant stages of life - from pregnancy to a child's growth and strengthening family well-being. We are now seeking a public health nurse for a permanent position in the clinic services of the western region of the Southwest Finland wellbeing services county. Your Role We are seeking a public health nurse for a permanent position in the maternity and child health clinic and the contraception and family planning clinic in the western region of the Southwest Finland wellbeing services county (Mynämäki, Nousiainen, and Masku). The primary place of work at the start of employment is Mynämäki, but you will also work in Nousiainen and, if necessary, in other clinics in the region. You will work in a versatile public health nurse role in a combined clinic (maternity and child health) and in the contraception and family planning clinic. Clinic services are part of the Southwest Finland wellbeing services county's family center. In the maternity clinic, you will support the health and well-being of pregnant women and their families and promote the creation of a safe and healthy growth environment for the future child. In the child health clinic, you will monitor and support the physical, psychological, and social growth and development of children under school age and strengthen parents' readiness for safe and child-centered upbringing. Additionally, you will participate in the implementation of vaccinations according to the national vaccination program. In the contraception and family planning clinic, you will provide contraception counseling for individuals and couples, guide the selection of a suitable contraceptive method, and promote comprehensive sexual health and sexual education.
