Your role with us In the role of mechanical designer, you are responsible for the comprehensive design of mechanical solutions in product development projects from conceptualization to the technical implementation of the design and the supervision of manufacturing or the production of prototypes. We implement projects across a wide range of industries and your work may involve, for example, steel structure design, development of production equipment or precision mechanics design for high-tech products. The emphasis of the role varies by project and is shaped according to your own background and strengths. Design is carried out using modern design methods with 3D CAD software, such as Creo, Solidworks, NX. Our team is growing and developing rapidly, so if you wish, you will have the opportunity to take on broader responsibility for both projects and the team's operations. What kind of person are we looking for? We are looking for a solution-oriented designer for this role who has the ability to perceive design wholes through previous experience and the skill to apply their expertise to new innovations. We expect from you: - An appropriate technical university degree (for example, a mechanical engineering engineer B.Sc./M.Sc.) - Mastery of modern design methods as well as 3D CAD and PDM/PLM software expertise - Ability to work with different stakeholders and good interaction skills in Finnish and English - Knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods - A practical approach to design and a genuine interest in developing new types of solutions Because product development is always done in close cooperation with colleagues and customers, we value strong collaboration skills, openness and extroversion in all our roles and require good communication skills in both Finnish and English.
