About the role

We are looking for a bilingual daycare director for a permanent position in Kaarina and Turku for our client company Verkanappulat Oy. In this role, you will lead two early childhood education units and holistically influence the development of their operations. We are looking for a strong and development-oriented leader who wants to build high-quality early childhood education, support staff, and develop operations long-term together with the work community. In this position, you will be responsible for the daycare in Kaarina and a smaller unit in Turku. The Kaarina unit will serve as your official place of employment. In the Turku unit, you will be supported by a deputy director who participates in the coordination of daily operations. The employment is permanent, and the position starts by August 1, 2026, at the latest. An earlier start is possible by agreement. Your Tasks As the daycare director, you are responsible for the overall management of the units. The work emphasizes administrative and leadership tasks, but we value a leader who is genuinely present in the daily life of the units and easily approachable for staff, children, and guardians alike. You will lead operations goal-orientedly, develop daily practices and pedagogy, and participate in group activities when necessary. You will work as part of the regional daycare directors' team, receiving continuous support and sparring from colleagues and your supervisor.
