Responsibilities include building, operating and advancing the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, ensuring stability, security and scalability; designing and running the Azure Cloud infrastructure—from networking to central platform services such as AKS, Storage and Key Vault; implementing security standards and ensuring compliance with policies; developing and operating transparent platform monitoring for early problem detection; automating cloud infrastructure and platform processes with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and reducing manual activities; analyzing incidents at infrastructure and platform levels, performing root-cause analyses and implementing sustainable solutions; defining and establishing standards for our cloud environments and ensuring a consistent structure. Requirements include a completed technical degree, e.g. in (Business) Informatics or an equivalent qualification; at least 3 years of experience in building and operating Microsoft Azure cloud environments, especially in cloud networking, IAM/RBAC and infrastructure; strong IaC and automation skills (Terraform or Bicep); good understanding of cloud security and security measures at the platform level; experience in operating and monitoring cloud infrastructures (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or Prometheus); ideally experience with Kubernetes at the platform level, particularly cluster operation; basic Linux knowledge and Bash scripting is a plus; fluent German (C1) and English (B2) communication skills.
