Scope Impact is seeking a Visual Designer Intern! Title: Visual Design Internship Reports to: Visual Designer Type: 6-month internship Remote work The Visual Design Intern will support the Scope team in crafting engaging visual concepts and representations as well as design tools for a digital, climate-responsive self-care companion. Key Tasks: Supporting the Scope Impact team in designing visual representations of a new self care of health service, including air pollution, extreme heat and other climate health risks Support Scope’s team in visualizing insights and innovations for climate change x health research and service design initiatives with a focus on Asia and Africa Crafting engaging visuals to communicate and augment project related ideas, findings Developing Scope Impact knowledge sharing and communication presentations for global audiences, together with the team Keeping abreast of emerging trends and technologies in graphic, visual/UI design and applying that to Scope Impact’s projects Contributing to Scope Impact’s own social media and communication activities as needed Required Skills and Experience: Commitment to social change and alignment with Scope Impact’s climate and health mission Ability to showcase graphic design and illustration skills and a keen interest in visual communication A passion and interest to visualize and bring complex information to life Demonstrated knowledge of design software including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma A strong portfolio of work, with a focus on African contexts Experience working in a fast paced, collaborative and culturally diverse environment Ability to multitask, work independently and be flexible Initiative and creativity Good to have: Experience using generative AI tools for image and video The position is a paid 6-month internship.
