We are hiring an instructor for a fixed-term position at our demanding child welfare residential care unit in Huittinen. This is a parental leave substitute. The unit is located in Huittinen and will move to Tyrvää, Sastamala, in spring 2027. It is intended for children and young people aged 8–17. The unit has 10 places divided between two small units. We specialise in intensive care and psychiatric and functional rehabilitation for young people with severe psychological and neuropsychiatric symptoms. Our staffing levels are very high, enabling us to meet children and young people individually and safely. Our primary aim is to provide Kuntola’s children and young people with a stable, activity-oriented everyday life led by adults. We do not care for children or young people whose symptoms are related to substance use or crime. You may be trained as a practical nurse, registered nurse, social services professional, occupational therapist or community educator, for example. We are looking for a professional with a positive, solution-focused approach and experience in child welfare, psychiatric work or work with people with intellectual disabilities. Even in challenging situations, you put the child’s and young person’s best interests first and know how to be firm yet gentle. We also value a sense of humour and an energetic attitude. At Kuntola, we offer: * A low-hierarchy organisation and clear areas of responsibility. * A small client group and strong staffing levels. You will have genuine time to meet the children and young people in the unit. * Comprehensive induction, including your own duties, the unit’s operations and shared practices, and how to meet children and young people. * The opportunity to influence your shifts and holidays. The unit has long shifts of 10–12 hours. * Opportunities to develop your skills. We provide continuous training for our teams, and you can take part in longer training courses to strengthen your professional skills. Regular work supervision is also available. * Good staff benefits, including ePassi Flex and comprehensive leisure-time accident insurance. * Pay: private social services collective agreement, grades G22–G25e. The position starts as soon as possible and is fixed-term until November 2027. We interview applicants during the recruitment process. Please submit your application using the link in the advertisement. For more information, contact rekrytointi@kuntolat.fi or unit manager Tomas Rantakeisu on weekdays from 11:00 to 15:00. Learn more at www.kuntolat.fi or follow @kuntolat on social media.
