Hello to you, the registered nurse who wants to work with the elderly. We are seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position at Uranuskoti in Riihimäki starting October 1, 2026. The work is primarily daytime shifts on weekdays. Uranuskoti is a 24-hour service housing unit for the elderly with 31 resident places. Our daily work includes care and nurturing, as well as taking care of nutrition, recreation, and medication. We learn something new every day and develop our operations in a customer-oriented manner. As a registered nurse, you will act as a nursing expert and be responsible, among other things, for monitoring the health status of residents and the comprehensive implementation of medication therapy. Additionally, you will take care of the residents' daily well-being and basic needs, supporting the team's operations and collaborating with various partners. In the work unit, you are part of a multidisciplinary team and will get to develop the unit's operations together with the rest of the work community. Your work partner will be the nurse team coordinator. Eligibility for the position requires a degree as a registered nurse licensed in Finland and a certificate as a healthcare professional as referred to in the Act on Healthcare Professionals (559/1994). A prerequisite for participating in medication therapy is a valid medication therapy training, which you can update with us at the beginning of employment if necessary. In addition to the position-specific salary, we pay an experience-based supplement, which can be 3% or 8%. The accumulation of vacation days is also determined based on length of service. Those working with the elderly must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.4 of the Criminal Records Act, in accordance with Section 28.1 of the Act on Social and Health Care Supervision (741/2023). Salary and other terms of employment are determined according to the SOTE agreement. The probationary period is six months. Immediate patient and client work requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis clearance for the respiratory system according to Section 55.
