Teacher qualifications are determined in accordance with Decree No. 986/98 on the qualification requirements for teaching staff. According to Section 9 of the Decree, a teacher providing basic education must have excellent oral and written skills in Finnish. For fixed-term positions, we also consider applicants who do not meet the formal qualification requirements. The position requires good subject matter expertise, flexibility, and good cooperation skills. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act.
