About the role

Welcome as a radiographer to the Meilahti emergency radiology unit! HUS Diagnostics Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main area of operation is the specialized medical care of the HUS group and the primary health care of the wellbeing services counties belonging to HUS. We are also responsible for the laboratory and imaging operations of the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia wellbeing services counties. We operate in eight medical specialties. Nationally, we are responsible for several examinations requiring special expertise, as well as research and teaching belonging to the university hospital. Diagnostic examinations play a central role in confirming or excluding diseases, as part of treatment, and in treatment monitoring and screening. Approximately 3,300 laboratory and imaging experts work at HUS Diagnostics Center in over 150 locations. We are looking for two radiographers for permanent employment. Our unit in Meilahti is an emergency unit where work is three-shift work. Modalities in our unit include native examinations, computed tomography, cone-beam examinations, and ultrasound examinations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work in Europe's first RAPTOR room, which combines emergency patient diagnostics and operating room functions. We also work in close cooperation with other imaging units in Meilahti. We offer you a challenging and versatile job description and the opportunity to develop into a skilled expert in several modalities. You will become part of our professional team, where we encourage and support each other. As a large employer, we can offer good opportunities for career development within the organization. We value a brisk and positive attitude, flexibility, and the desire and ability to develop operations in a changing multidisciplinary operating environment. Successful performance of the task requires good cooperation and interaction skills, initiative, and management of wholes, as well as readiness to work in three-shift work. We consider previous work experience from emergency work in a radiology unit as an advantage. Good stress tolerance and the ability to manage rapidly changing situations are important characteristics for the performance of the task. The task-specific salary for a radiographer is €3,192.88/month and a possible experience bonus. Work starts on September 1, 2026, or by agreement. We interview applicants during the application period. Please apply as soon as possible, no later than August 12, 2026. Welcome to be our colleague! Eligibility requirements: Licensed radiographer. We require vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health statement on pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units. Contact information: Further information about the position can be provided by ward managers Maarit Pettersson, tel. 040 564 5686 and Satu Arola, tel. 040 844 9955.
